Business Development Manager – Air Travel Solutions, Indonesia (JKT)

AIR TRANSPORT: The Business Development Manager, Airline Business (Indonesia) serves as a single point of accountability to Airline accounts in Indonesia for Air Travel Solutions organisation. Works closely with Sales to develop new business and expand sales coverage of Air Travel Solutions in Indonesia. Expected to establish relationships with Clients at all possible levels and ensures Customers’ satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop account and sales strategy in coordination with Sales for Airline accounts in Indonesia.

  • Act as the key interface to Sales and customers on Air Travel Solutions.Establish relationships with Clients and ensure Customers’ satisfaction

  • Promote the value and benefits of Client Products & Services Portfolio through appropriate engagement of Solution Specialists & Solution Designers

  • Develop and understand customers’ requirements, business environment and strategy to develop and own sales pipelines

  • Lead solution sale from prospecting to closing including obtaining the necessary internal approvals

  • Mobilize resources, including Solution Design, Bid Management, Pricing, Project Management, Operation etc to respond to RFP

  • Lead the development of local partnerships with external partners, when necessary, to complement and strengthen Client's offering

  • Maintain good understanding of Networking technologies and solutions while being able to see the "big picture"

  • Keep current with new IT technologies and trends

  • Provide necessary support to Delivery team during projects.


  • At least 5 years IT experience within ATI or equivalent sector

  • Proven track record in Business Development or Sales to large enterprise

  • Experience in client relationship engagement at all levels including ability to operate at middle management level (IT department heads/Technical experts)

  • Proven track record in leading complex network bid and proposal

  • Experience in managing partners.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Excellent English and Bahasa Indonesia are prerequisite.Independent and pro-active worker

  • Takes a proactive approach to identifying new business opportunities

  • Good customer facing and interpersonal skills

  • Good consultative selling and presentation skills

  • Team player with ability to work in a matrix management organization

  • Knowledge of customers’ procurement processes (RFI/RFP preparation)

  • Good commercial and financial knowledge

  • Understanding of Airline Industry IT environment (mandatory).

Education & Qualifications:

  • Engineering, Computing, Telecommunications or IT degree

  • Networking certifications preferred.

Duration: 12 months + or full time.

Rate: Please quote expected salary or day rate.
