AIRPORT/AIRLINE: We are currently looking for a Support Specialist, with a combination of hardware and software support skills, to work in a dynamic fast growing company and with leading edge products. Reporting to the Benelux Service Manager, this is a full time position, with split between field and office work. The role will be based in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities
Mixture of routine system maintenance to ensure system is in correct working order and applying software fixes and updates. Identifying faults both remotely and at sites
Responding to incidents and performing break/fix activities when errors and faults occur. Liaising with customer on site and remotely and proactively communicating with the Service Manager, escalating issues and identifying areas where service can be improved
Providing on site early life support and training users of the system
Analysis of system performance in relation to business benefits
Publishes articles on technical support issues in Vision Box knowledge base
Document cases, recommendations, and resolutions clearly in the ticketing system
Collaborate with Technical Support, Sustaining Engineering and Sales Consultants to resolve highly complex technical issues associated with deployment.
Skills and experience
IT Support experience, working at a minimum of 2nd level – working with Windows Operating Systems, able to undertake diagnostics and troubleshooting errors. Good knowledge of networking
Software skills – should have experience working in a Technical Support Environment. Experience working with Windows Operating Systems, able to undertake diagnostics and troubleshooting errors. Experience of software product support and with complex troubleshooting skills an advantage
Hardware skills – willing to be ‘hands on’ and with experience of diagnosing hardware faults. Working knowledge of networking infrastructure, cabling, electrical schematics and electromechanical equipment is an advantage
Interpersonal skills – must be comfortable operating alone within customer environment and working within a small team. Must have excellent time management and organisational skills, able to communicate well to customers and be comfortable liaising with other colleagues overseas. Well presented
Experience of working within an international culture and in an ITIL service environment an advantage.
Additional Requirements
Must be able to travel within the Benelux region and occasionally outside Benelux
Eligible to work in Netherlands
Good English and Dutch level.
Duration: 6-12 months +
