AIRLINE: Develop infrastructure architectures, technical solutions, and operational requirements for large scale enterprise grade IT systems/solutions. Reporting to the Director of IT Operations, the Infrastructure Architect is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s tactical and strategic technology decisions are made in alignment with the company’s infrastructure standards, IT Operations support processes and capabilities, as well as the enterprise tactical and strategic business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for analyzing and translating business, information and technical requirements into an infrastructure architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve project objectives
Provide guidance to development and operations teams for operationalizing new products and services and ensuring reliability, scalability, and adequate monitoring are appropriately designed into all solutions
Ensure implementations are consistent with design intent
Responsible for ensuring that the company’s IT decisions are made in alignment with the company’s tactical and strategic goals and direction
Collaborate with the business and development teams to understand and communicate IT requirements generated by business strategies and operations
Provide guidance to the company to proactively position its IT resources to meet business strategy and objectives
Analyze current and new architectures to identify potential weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvement such as reducing risk, improving business processes, expanding capacity, reducing time and cost, and increasing effectiveness
Keep abreast of technology advances (technical scouting) and concerns across all enterprise domains and make recommendations on improvements to the organization’s technical capabilities and technical debt
Research, test and recommend tools and practices for potential implementation
Assist the IT Operations line managers with the development of management service levels, capacity plans, business continuity, disaster recovery, and continual service design for cost-effective service availability
Analyze enterprise business strategies to determine corresponding changes in infrastructure architectures to meet the on-going service demands of the business.

Translating application architecture requirements and designs into complimentary infrastructure architecture designs and change requirements
A strong desire to establish standards of best practice
Development and implementation of reference architectures
Strong working knowledge of architecture development methodologies and modeling
Experience with process improvement and operational efficiency projects - both leading and supporting
Coordination and facilitation of inter-departmental committees, stakeholders and/or teams.
Technical Requirements:
10+ years of designing, architecting, and engineering of large-scale enterprise infrastructure systems
Experience in developing Enterprise Class Data Center Architectures
Experience and knowledge of networking technologies such as WAN, LAN, Routing, Switching, Load Balancing, Mobile and Wireless technologies
Extensive experience with high availability, disaster recovery, and data replication architectures, ideally both cloud-based and internally-hosted
Experience and knowledge of SAN fabric architectures, management/replication software and implementation of enterprise storage products
Experience and knowledge of Server, Messaging, Virtualization, Operating Systems (Windows, Linux/Unix) and related technologies
Experience in developing highly available, fault-tolerance virtualization solutions
Experience in designing a virtualized, multi-site, multi-tenant network, driving resiliency and versatility at switch and load-balancing layers
At least 5 years hands-on experience in server and storage system with practical experience designing and building enterprise scalable systems
Experience in designing multi-tier enterprise storage fabrics and driving higher levels of storage utilization while safeguarding performance for tenant applications
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, sufficient to communicate effectively with various levels of management as well as technical and non-technical personnel
Broad knowledge of information security solutions with experience in the following areas: Firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, Authentication technologies, Web Filtering, Privileged Access Management, Single Sign-on, SAML Federation, Security Alert Management Systems (SIEM), ISO 27001, PCI, etc
The role will require the architect to be focused, goal driven, and possess an obsessive attention to detail
Architect must be a team player who can motivate as well as provide coaching as needed
Must be able to work under pressure, along with demonstrating solid time management skills and demonstrate a winning attitude.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience. Minimum of ten years of hands-on design and implementation experience in IT, with hands on knowledge of the following technical disciplines:
Enterprise Distributed Servers (Linux, VMWare, Windows)
Enterprise SAN and NAS Storage
Network and Data Center Design
Capacity Planning and Performance Best Practices
IT Operations Management
Management & Monitoring Systems
ITSM.
Duration: 12 months + or full time.
