AIRLINE: The preferred Candidate will provide leadership for the business requirements and input on the technical and business R&D activities required for new business development. This position requires extensive travel/airline industry knowledge and the ability to identify and analyse trends within the industry. Must have Fares/Pricing experience within the Air Transport or Travel industry.
Demonstrated expertise in the industry processing of ancillary services, airline fares and rules, availability and schedule information.
Experience and understanding of the requirements for New Distribution Capability “NDC”
Effective communication with external customers to develop and track key industry trends
Deep understanding of Airline Fares Products
Provide product solutions for the industry with appropriate analysis
Product Marketing - Develop and implement robust effective product marketing strategies; Provide market analysis for business cases, product strategies, white papers and concept documents.
Project Management - Effective project management in an R&D environment that provides appropriate results; Ability to manage staff and provide leadership as appropriate to achieve project results.
Qualifications & Experience required:
Masters Degree preferably in Business, Marketing.
10+ years experience in Airline Pricing engine creation to support pricing or shopping, Revenue Accounting or Revenue Management.
Previous experience with technologies and their uses in the Airline pricing market
Superior analytical skills & decision making abilities
Demonstrated leadership abilities, capable of motivating and mentoring staff
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Duration: 12 months + or permanent.
