AIRLINE: As a member of the Product Strategy and Marketing team, the Market Analyst III is responsible for identifying products and services that reduce the distribution costs and protect/increase airline revenues through marketing activities which include market research, analysis, marketing artifacts, competitor scans, market intelligence, product launch/adoption and monitoring marketing trends.

This position is responsible to take a leadership role in the development, planning and execution of the overall product marketing strategy including the product portfolio and go-to-market strategies. In addition, the Analyst will assist in identifying areas for growth and create strategic product-line roadmaps to help drive adoption of the product and differentiating features.
The ideal candidate will likely come from the Revenue Accounting area of an airline.
The Market Analyst must have a comprehensive understanding of the travel industry and a working knowledge of the ATPCO product portfolio and a complete, high-level understanding of the Life Cycle of the Fare. In addition the Analyst needs an understanding of airline and travel distribution economics and the multiple commercial models in the travel industry, with a focus on travel distribution technologies.
Market Strategy & Management
Ability to conduct market research and define market segments
Ability to obtain and properly utilize a variety of internal, external and industry data needed for marketing efforts and the enhancement of products and services
Ability to assist in the development, design, distribution and analysis of industry surveys
Ability to supply senior management with financial analysis and forecasts for use in the Product Development Life Cycle as relates to Product Strategy and Marketing
Data Analytics as it relates to the revenue accounting products and budgeted revenue/forecast
Ability of predictive analytics – this skill set would anticipate markets before they happen, sometimes called data science
Communication
Ability to demonstrate consistent professional and effective interpersonal skills with team, peers and management, across divisions
Excellent presentation skills as they will be presenting to CFOs from the airlines, IATA etc. Good facilitation skills
A level of maturity.
Skills Required
Expert knowledge of ATPCO products is preferred
Experience with Airline Revenue Accounting, Pricing, Inventory Management or Revenue Management
Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Marketing; Master's degree preferred
6+ years’ experience in a marketing or marketing related position; prior work experience in the travel industry with an airline, GDS, or related segment preferred: or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or Marketing and 3+ years’ experience in the travel industry with an airline, GDS or related segment
Experience working in culturally diverse, creative, team oriented and collaborative environments
Effective project and time management skills; and the ability to work under pressure.
Duration: 12 months + or full time.
