Andrew is a global professional with over 38 years of airline experience in both Low Cost Carriers and Full Service Carriers up to CEO level, working across Europe and Asia.
He has varied airline general, operational, commercial, marketing and sales management exposure and is an experienced team leader and strategic planner.
Andrew’s experience includes setting up and managing airlines from pre-AOC planning phase to full operation; setting up and running major airline alliances between high profile international airlines and setting up and managing commercial divisions for LCC and mid-sized airlines.
He is currently working as VP Strategic Development and Board Advisor for Bayon Cambodia Airlines where he is introducing an A320 fleet into Bayon, and is accountable to the Board for the strategic positioning of the airline in Asia.
Joe was recruited by TransAsia Airways to head their Asia Pacific expansion and development. He led the start-up of commercial operations in several markets, including Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
He has also managed individual country business units for Virgin Atlantic Airways, Qatar Airways and United Airlines, with strong market-place exposure.
Previously Joe led Myanmar’s first privately owned Low Cost Carrier. Under his direction the airline has grown to operate 2 A320 and 2 ATR72 aircraft, regionally and domestically from Yangon.
He has extensive negotiating experience, including trades union agreements, excellent people and man-management skills and experience in, and awareness of, several cultures.
