He has vast knowledge of airline operational administration, commercial oversight and strategic planning and has in-depth experience with major Corporate & Leisure travel organizations dealing with global sales and regulatory issues, including IATA channels.
He is currently the Canadian Director for a major Airline GSA caring for multi-airline portfolios, providing these accounts with Global Sales & Marketing oversight, Budgetary layout and Product and Route reports; having oversight over +$35,000,000 revenue generation per year.
Karl also led SATA (Azores Airlines) sales & marketing in Canada for close to 3 years and is the North American GM-Rep for TAAG Angola Airlines and Azul-Brazil, in addition to managing FLYBE -Europe’s largest regional airline for the past 3 years.
His expertise also includes proven strategic planning ability with commercial acumen, KPI & P/L factors, strong written communication skills with ability to draft internal/external communiques, commercial agreements, Customer Relationship & Commercial Risk Management (CRM), Route & network/Airline Alliance work, ACFT leasing-Airline and Tools: MSOffice package + Amadeus GDS, MIDT, BSP, ARC, CRS, DCS, Credit Cards.
He has demonstrated success in managing flight operations, starting new airline routes and generating revenue and his expertise includes negotiation consulting, marketing and government relations.
Karl has a multicultural mind-set with in-depth knowledge of international commerce and airline operations. He speaks English, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish and conversational Hungarian.
