David Tattersall

David is a committed professional with over 40 years’ experience in aviation in a number of roles from Apprentice to MD/GM including CAA/MAA Accountable Manager & Post Holder for, EASA Part 145 & 147, Part 21 Subpart G and MRP Part 145.


Working  mainly in the Aviation Engineering, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul  industry, David is recognised as a strong leader with an aptitude for delivering results through team involvement & participation.


Throughout his career David has had senior management roles with British Airways, BAMC, Brymon Airways, BA CitiExpress, BAAE, Airlines PNG, Flybe Aviation Services and various consulting roles in European/Middle East Airlines & MROs, as well as lecturing at City University London, providing expert witness evidence and developing and delivering airworthiness training courses.


Whilst with SalamAir David worked as the Interim Director of Engineering and Maintenance and at British Airways Avionic Engineering as a Director and General Manager, he was responsible for the company strategy, business plans, operation, all aspects of safety, quality, cost, and delivery, including all airworthiness requirements as the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Accountable Manager.

David is an effective leader, manager & team member, with a track record of success whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety & airworthiness. He has a proven ability to develop company visions, strategy, goals & objectives and deliver improvements through measurable results.
